4x4x4 Balkan Bridges Tirana

The mission of our organization is to establish up-to-date associations of citizens in the Republic of Albania and a real network of such associations in the Balkan countries which commitments are to improve the quality and the way of living of their citizens, their active inclusion in social life and in public decision-making.
Knowledge improvement, education development and the way of thinking are the bases which lead to better living standard of the individuals and on the other hand make the individuals responsibly recognize their role in the social life of the Republic of Albania and active participation in creation of the present and future to the Republic of Albania and wider into the Balkan region.
“4x4x4 Balkan Bridges – Tirana” officially registered in March 2007 with Court Decision 369, but comprised of highly experienced professionals in various fields (ecology, legal matters, educations, financial and human resources management) with remarkable working background.
Our organization participated to the establishment of the regional network 4x4x4 Balkan Bridges, currently active in Skopje - Macedonia, Sliven - Bulgaria and Belgrade - Serbia
The main goals of all “4x4x4 Balkan Bridges “ are related to: Protection of the environment, Promotion and sustainable use of cultural and natural heritage, Improvement the economic and social status of citizens, and Promotion of sustainable regional and international cooperation in above mentioned areas.



Macedonian Green Center (MGC)

Macedonian Green Center (MGC) is a non-governmental and non-partisan organization for advocacy, lobbying and research for environmental issues.
MGC was established in May 2006 on initiative of several environmental organizations. It is organization descendant of the Working Group for Greening of the Local Elections (WGGLE) that was initiated and established by Milieukontakt International in December 2003.
The founders (WGGLE, Eko svest – Skopje, Biosfera – Bitola, Krste Jon – Struga, Proaktiva – Skopje, Kocka - Skopje and Eko.Net – Skopje) are well known and active e-NGOs in Macedonia and the region of Southwest Europe. All of them have taken part within a Milieukontakt International programs in Macedonia, mainly in the areas of organizational strengthening, campaigning and networking.
MGC mission is to promote concrete democratic tools that will enable citizens to play active role in the democratic and transparent decision making process, and to raise understanding of the environment as truly important political issue in Macedonia.

To raise importance of environmental topics on the higher level on politic agendas through public hearings and debate concerning environmental issues;
To establish clear connection between possibilities for local economic development and environmental issues concerning healthy environment

 

Coalition for Sustainable Development – CSD

Coalition for Sustainable Development – CSD is a Macedonian non-governmental, non-profit and non-political association of citizens, dedicated to work in partnership and with aim to promote, initiate and implement activities for sustainable development in Macedonia, by bringing together members of the governmental and NGO sectors to effectively cooperate and achieve meaningful and sustainable development in the society.

CSD, officially reiterated in August, 2007, is fairly new, but in a same time well established organisation. It was founded in compliance with the principle that associations are based on the concept of “groups”. However, the group is consisted of individuals. Therefore, the capacity of the group is closely connected with the commitment and capacity of its members. Our membership is composed of results-oriented people, hands-on professional, with a successful record of accomplishments in organisation, management and implementation of a number of projects supported by international donor agencies.

As defined, sustainability provides for current needs without sacrificing the needs of future generations. Our ecology, economy and society are interdependent. Optimizing all three is sometimes described as the “triple bottom line.” CSD is committed to work to engage all relevant stakeholders in our sustainability quest. A perfect, but unimplemented plan is not our goal. Although sustainability is still an idea in evolution, we all have responsibility to participate for sustainability to become part of our culture!

 

Green Home - Podgorica, Montenegro

NGO Green Home was founded by graduated students of biology science, 14. 02. 2000, as a non-governmental, not for profit and non-political organization. The organization appeared from the need for participation of great number of citizens in protection and conservation of environment, as well as taking an active role in civil society development through respect for biodiversity and efforts on sustainable development.
The aim of the organization is environment protection, protection of the natural recourses, in the first place of water resources, flora-plants resources in the territory of Republic of Montenegro and solving ecology problems. Ecology Republic of Montenegro !
Activities realization is focused on education/training, ecology politics, public representation and legal action, field work, urban and natural management, publication and contribution in creating local and international strategies of sustainable development.
Our work is divided into four programmes:

Biodiversity, Freshwater and wetlands, Agriculture, Sustainable use of resources, Industry, energy and green technologies, Recycling, Pollution and Waste Management, Ecotourism and Sustainable development at local, national and Mediterranean level.

• “Balkan Peace Park Project – Network on creating a trans-national, cross-border park in the adjoining mountain areas of Kosovo , Montenegro and Albania ” NGO ECAT-Tirana, Albanija (Collaboration on improving air quality related to traffic in Tirana and Podgorica)
• NGO Young Researchers of Serbia-Belgrade, Serbia (Capacity Building of NGOs and Natura 2000)
